A "mazing" Things are happening in the library!
Some a"MAZE"ing things have been happening on enrichment Fridays in the past few weeks in the library. Children learned that mazes have been around for thousands of years. They can be made from such things as stones, hedges, and even our local corn fields as we read about in the Doreen Cronin book Thump, Quack, Moo.
Students got to explore by creating their own mazes with markers and magnet wands, blocks and Hex Bugs, Q-Ba-Maze marble sets, ipad programs and more. There was great energy and excitement as individuals and teams created and problem solved together. Wait until you see what our next exciting enrichment will be in the VES library!
FOOD DRIVE FOR YORK FOOD PANTRY
During the month of November, we collect food and organize a "train" of food around the school hallways. Please help us stock up the York Food Pantry for the holidays and send in nonperishable food items. We have an assembly planned to explain our service project.

Don't forget to send in your retired markers to our recycling unit!
