I want to extend a happy new year to students, staff, families and community members. I sincerely hope that the time spent making memories over vacation was healthy and relaxing. I enjoyed the magical, exciting moments as well as the restful relaxing ones, with my own children, Sydney and Ava. It was exciting to greet some smiling reenergized teachers and students on Monday!
This year, administrators throughout the district are making a conscious effort to improve communication. We are encouraging teachers to reflect on their communication as well. Through websites, calendars, blogs, and newsletters, we hope you feel in tune with all that is going on in the schools. We understand the complexity of keeping up with so much information and the challenge it becomes with multiple children in multiple schools. Please know, that I value face to face conversations. If there is ever a question you have or concern that is raised, feel confident that you can reach the front office or myself through a phone call, email or face to face conversation. The front office staff at VES can make an appointment for you if you need to meet with me.

The weather has been so unpredictable lately and we've been able to enjoy some warmer days, but please keep in mind that we go out almost everyday and your child needs to be prepared. The following picture is a good guideline to consider when sending your child with outdoor clothing for the day. Should you need support purchasing winter clothing for this season, please reach out to our school counselor, Amanda Benoit, our school nurse, Lorinda Layton, your child's teacher, or me. ~April Noble, Principal
